Lara is the Creative Director & Principal Designer at Thomas & George Fine Furniture, her elegant style  is evident in the creation of  brand which  seamlessly bridges the gap between East and West, blending traditional and modern influences inspired by her travels and life experiences. Her work reflects a distinct, personal style that captures the essence of timeless elegance and innovation.

Renowned for her commissioned signature Sculpted Leather Artwork, Lara's designs showcase exceptional craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail. Whether it's Artwork, Limited Edition Collections, or one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, her work is a testament to refined artistry and enduring beauty, offering a truly unique investment for the home.

Lara's journey as an artist began with an innate passion for creativity and design. After earning a degree in Interior Design from the University of the Philippines, she embarked on a career that spanned freelance projects and high-end furniture design. Her talent and vision have captivated discerning clients across the Philippines, Europe, the USA, and Australia.

Upon relocating to Australia, Lara honed her skills further at The Melbourne School of Fine Woodworking and delved into the world of leather crafting. Her innovative experimentation led to the development of her unique cold-relief hand-sculpting technique, which has become a hallmark of her work.

As the Creative Director of Thomas & George, Lara pioneered the concept of "Artisan Furniture," curating Original Limited Edition pieces crafted by skilled Filipino artisans to be cherished as functional works of art.

 

Every commissioned leather art piece is personally designed, created, and signed by Lara, with many joining the Thomas & George exclusive “One of a Kind in the World” collectible series—a celebration of artistry and individuality.
